Every Christmas, my Swedish grandmother (MorMor) used to pull out the krumkake maker and the rosette iron. She was a sweets fanatic. Little attention was paid to the meat and potatoes, and the main course was always the dessert tray, much to my parents’ dismay. Her first microwave opened up the door to a modern Christmas. Sure, the old fashioned krumkake was still on the table, but a vast array of fudge (made from that first microwave) was always the hit of the party. Here are a few old favorites!
