Gardening: Growing Mint

We love mint – for its radiant color, its invigorating smell and for the cooling drinks it inspires. And mint is one of the easiest plants to grow, inside or out. It’s tough and it spreads like a weed!
To keep it under control, plant it in a container. There’s no need to fertilize, just use a good potting soil. If you’ll be planting the mint in a vintage container such as the antique wash basin pictured here, make sure to drill a hole or two in the bottom. Place pebbles and stones at the bottom of the container to help with drainage.
Place in partial to full sun – it’ll grow anywhere. Water the plant when it looks dry. You’re on your way to mojito madness.
