Building a Bat Condo
A family tackles a project to keep helpful bats nearby but out of the cabin
June 6, 2013
In the August 2013 issue, Jo Bunney introduced Cabin Life readers to the bat condo she and her husband, brother-in-law, and sons built near their cabin on the Pend Oreille River in northeastern Washington. Below are some web-exclusive photos and plans for the structure. Plans provided by the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission.
The Bunneys' bat condo has the capacity to house up to 8,000 mosquito-eating bats.
