Imagine all the fun of summer camp, only with comfy beds and decent bathrooms. That’s the vision one family had for their vacation home on Norris Lake near the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The design, fashioned by Daryl Johnson of Johnson Architecture in Knoxville, partners with the land’s natural beauty to recreate a grown-up version of the excitement and promise every day at summer camp held.

This dogtrot cabin was originally featured in the June 2014 issue of Cabin Life magazine.
