Santa's Alabama Home
It was Gregg Turk's dream to build a log home. So when his uncle sold him and his wife a pine-covered plot of land in Somerville, Ala. ("for one dollar and love"), he set about clearing the land. He felled many pines down the hill from the home site, intending to use them for his log home. Upon realizing that he had no way to get the logs up the hill, however, Turk decided to frame the home conventionally.
