A grand hall with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling has kitchen, dining and living space in an open design. On either side of the grand hall, there’s a bedroom with a luxury bath including a walk-in shower and garden tub. The living room and both bedrooms open onto a deck wide enough to accommodate dining and entertaining with room for a hot tub or fire pit. The plan can be easily modified to suit a homeowner’s specific needs and can be executed in log, timber frame or a combination of materials.
