Ready Fur Fun: Oh, the joy of being a pet at the cabin

Pets love cabins too. This was never more obvious than during the last Cabin Life photo contest in which many readers submitted photos of their pets romping, swimming and clowning around at the cabin.
Here’s a sampling of readers’ pets’ antics.

Gonna Fly Now

My son’s German shorthair, Holly, puts even dragonflies to shame.
– Mike Mikulich, Superior, Wis.

A Girl and Her Dog

This is Megan hugging her dog, Nala, outside our cabin on the Ohio River.
– Roger Storey, Westfield, Ind.

A Path All Her Own

Our dog, Ivory, is no dummy. She knows it’s easier to run down the worn snow path than to blaze a trail through neck-deep snow.
– Tim Morrison, Denver, Colo.

Water Dog

My brother-in-law’s dog, Colby, likes to dive to the bottom of the lake to retrieve this ring. Yes, he puts his full head under water.
– Penny Bubar, Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada
Leo the Lion

Shown here on his perch in the loft of our cabin, Leo loves to play with his toy mouse.
– Gisele Sodell, Bothell, Wash.

Any Room in that Boat?

Our four kids paddle out on Shaver Lake as our dog swims very close by. School has ended, summer vacation has started, life is good!
– Susan Schultz, Bakersfield, Calif.
